WOW, Victor Krum

We just saw Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire. It was loads of fun. I can't wait for the Order of the Phoenix to come out in film. The books are a blast, and the movies give me goose bumps. It's like the icing on the cake. Hermione is becomming very beautiful, and Harry is cute, but Ron, please cut your hair. Seeing Hermione and Krum together, what a couple! Harry I think Cho likes you too, don't be so nervous. Damn those death eaters!

The Circle of Life

Me and Rusty just spent two weeks in San Diego, and we took our dogs. Stayed in a dog friendly hotel right on Dog Beach in Ocean Beach. They were in Heaven swimming in the waves, chasing the ball on the sand, and making new four legged friends all morning. When we would go back to the hotel there is a outdoor dog shower to clean-up the kids before they crashed on the grassy patio for their naps and our play time on our San Diego vacation. The hotel also had a heated swimming pool for two legged guests, with a nice patio to lounge around on. I often spent time there reading my book. One day I was doing just that when three young guys came walking up in wet suits and carrying surfboards. The first one said to his friends, "come on, it's heated, this is cool", and jumped in the pool. the second one was putting down his board, when the third one said, "hey you guys we can't do this". With that the first guy looked at me and said "you're not going to tell are you"? I looked up and said; "oh you're not staying here"? He said ; "I do this all the time, it rinses off all the sand". I could see the sand on the white bottom of the pool. I was thinking; kids, they must be only ten or twelve years old, brats. " You're not going to tell are you? Come on man! don't tell!" "I'm not going to tell, but look what you are doing to the pool" I say. The one guy with the sense of responsibility has picked up his board and is walking through the gates to leave along with the second guy, but the first one is still in the water with a look of disbelief on his face. "I can't believe you'd tell on us". But I wasn't and I didn't. He is now getting out, grabbing his board and following his friends. Now I say to him "get a room". I sit there thinking about this guy, this is the type of person that is selfish, spoiled, and thinks he is entitled. The typical republican mentality. Lie and cheat whenever you can, never pay your fair share, and always blame the other side.
When you think of the Disney movie the Lion King, one thinks of the circle of life and focuses on the beginning and end of ones life, But there is so much in between that is important and often over looked (that is unless you teach school kids). The stage were the kids learn and act like us. Right after birth babies learn quickly. They are so amazing, but it's not over, they keep learning all their lives. They learn what we show them, and because we get away with it, they learn that it must be right or O.K.
Is this what happened to this president and his administration? They learned that what they do is right because their parents did it too. Lie and cheat in business and all through their lives. Who's going to show them that lying, cheating, and waging war (killing) for selfish reasons are wrong. You'd think they could tell that it is not good! But people follow and let them lead because that is what people learned from their parents? even though it is also not good. Good government is possible, and should be our goal. Where will it end? Lets break this not good cycle! This is a part of the circle we have to pay better attention to.
This guy that lead his friends to rinse off in the pool, had one good friend (with wise parents), with him. Good for you!
So watch out and be careful that our circles are nice, well-rounded, all fit well together, and return with the very ball we threw; not somebody else's toy, in their mouth. Also, make sure they shower.
