Thanks California!

I'm married. Never thought I'd see the day.

We planned this trip a long time now. Spending a month in San Diego is something we do every year to escape the monsoon season in Tucson.

And with the Supreme Court's reagent decision to rule out prop 8. We thought, let's do it.

Same sex marriage was granted in California some years ago, but voters nulled that decision with prop 8 and those marriages stopped. People that got married before that vote got to keep their marriages in-tacked.

We've been together for twenty years, Steve and I, and already feel married. We've gone through all the legal steps to makes us legally together, spending lots of money doing so. It's sad and funny that just getting married, legally, gives couples the same rights that we paid a whole lot of money for.

If that's not discrimination I do't know what is?

Enough bitching, I'm married, finally! To my husband.

Coming to CA, we talked to one friend that lives here and he told us that he is a minister and can do the ceremony for us.

We went down to city hall, got our license and did it.
City hall was full of same sex couples doing just that. There was one straight couple getting their license, they might have felt to be in the minority.

We are now married.

WOAH!

As a liberal old white man, I declare war on ignorant old white men who think they can decide reproduction laws on WOMEN. Sad! Go back to Europe, the place that threw you out in the first place. We don't want you either.
