City Fest and the Lighting of the Hillcrest Sign

We happened to be here for City Fest on Sunday August 14th. The locals call it an alternate LGBT Pride. They close off the the streets, set up a stage and have a street fair. On this City Fest was the lighting of the Hillcrest Sign that spans across University Avenue. The sign has been there for many years but they took it down to refurbish it in lower energy LED lights. At 8:00 in the evening they uncovered it in celebration of the new lighting. Sorry, the picture is not very good but look at all the people!
