I Need a Break From Politics

The parties are back on. On the 16th of December we are having another Full Moon Bonfire Party out here at Burlyboy Ranch. Last year we had four of them during the winter months . They are a lot of fun! People park their cars in the roping arena, and walk on over to the stables, the way is lit by luminaria, which I think is beautiful. We ask people to bring folding chairs (there are only two benches over there), and drums if they have them. We have three drums, two small hand-held ones and one bigger African drum, I forget what it is called. When the drumming gets going it is so wonderful; people just follow the rhythm of whoever wants to lead. At night with the moon out, in the desert, around the fire, it's so cool.
Sally makes chili, people roast hot dogs and marshmallows, and we have a keg of beer.
We are planning two of them this year, this one and one in January.
If you have ever been, or ever get the chance to go to a drum circle they are really, really cool. I am glad that we started having them, it gives us something to do with this ranch since we have no horses or Alpacas or anything, just snakes, coyote, javalina, tarantulas, rabbits, and packrats up the ying-yang.
